Harold S. Reed, Jr. was born and raised in East Orange, New Jersey. He briefly attended Rutgers University, before leaving school to enlist in the United States Air Force. Harold proudly served as a Medical Services Specialist during Operations Desert Shield, Desert Storm and Desert Calm. In 2000, Harold was hired by the East Orange Police Department, "protecting and serving" the very city in which he was born and raised. In 2001, he moved to Woodbridge, New Jersey shortly before marrying his wife, Taria. In November of 2002, he left the East Orange Police Department and joined the Woodbridge Township Police Department -again "protecting and serving" the very community where he lives.

In 2006, Harold decided to share his motivation with the world by becoming a public speaker & author. He created his company –HRJR Enterprises, and in 2007, self-published and released his first book, “Find A Way to Make A Way –You’re Either Part of the Problem or You're Part of the Solution!” In 2008, Harold signed withTate Publishing & Enterprises with the 2nd edition of his book released in early 2009. In 2009, Harold expanded his brand by becoming a Certified Professional Life Coach and was featured on the “Claudia Jordan Show” on Jamie Foxx’s Foxhole Radio (Sirius/XM Satellite Radio) in Los Angeles CA. In 2011 Harold was featured on the Internet Radio/UStream.tv talk show “Perspective’s Corner” with Rhonda Bennett. In 2012 Harold was on OWWHH (Only Women Wear High Heels) All Things Sexy Show.

2013 is going to be a busy year. Harold’s second book “Success Is A Journey-From the Womb to the Tomb” is now available. Using his brand of “Motiv-ACTION” (Motive + ACTION = Results!), Harold is quick to warn people that he is not your typical motivational speaker. His messages are powerful and sometimes painfully honest. He believes that the solutions too many of life's problems can be found within the individual. However, if one will not face his flaws, he will not fight his flaws; and if he will not fight his flaws, he will never be free of them.

Harold retired from law enforcement in 2011 and is currently working on his third book.
